Git cloning issue — The project you were looking for could not be found.fatal: repository ‘https://gitlab.com/reponame/repo.git/' not found

I had the same issue on windows (solved).

• Open the window ‘credential Manager’
• Go to the ‘windows credential’ tab and remove the gitlab.com entry. Then try again and now it should work fine.
